When Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell began roasting coffee in a Marin County garage, it marked the beginning of their journey to build a high-impact coffee company.

Growing from that garage in Northern California, Equator Coffees and Teas is best known for responsibly sourcing its green beans from environmentally-friendly farms. Many of their coffees have earned Rainforest Alliance, organic or Fair Trade certifications for beneficial social, environmental and economic practices.

This San Rafael-based roaster prides itself not only on ethics but also quality and consumer education programs.

In partnership since 2014, Equator and Joyride have come together to produce a cold brew that is truly a labor of love.

Alongside Equator’s quality control team, we selected the perfect cold brew blend, crafting a perfect recipe. This truly cafe-quality cold brew is a bold and chocolatey cup, with notes of almond and fig.
