What is your first coffee memory?
My mom making coffee every morning when I was growing up. She was obsessed with it and always insisted that anyone serious about coffee drink it black.
Where did you go to high school or college? What did you study?
I went to the University of Cincinnati where I studied Art History and Business Administration.
Any relevant previous position?
For a few years I worked for a small cachaça brand, sharing my love for amazing and delicious Brazilian rum with New Yorkers. Now I get to share my love for amazing and delicious coffee.

Rudeness, people with no sense of subway etiquette

As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner
What kind of music do you listen to?
Everything! Right now, Django Reinhardt, Future Islands, João Gilberto, The Beach Boys.
How do you like your coffee?
Most of the time black. Sometimes with a bit of cream---my mom would be so disappointed.
