Birch Coffee - Café Review

The Birch Coffee location I visited the other day was a hidden gem in the office-ridden Midtown Manhattan. It's a relatively small café, where they serve both food and coffee. It was quite busy as well, with people having business meetings and a family eating dinner.

One of my favorite parts of the café was the little loft on the floor above, where there was more seating, which was more secluded.

One thing that struck me, also, was the cleanliness of the café. Everything from the countertops to the equipment looked pristine.

I decided to switch it up from coffee to a chai latte. It was a much more mild version than I'm used to, but good nonetheless. I would love to try the coffee there at some point, because it is their own Birch Coffee roast.

The café is connected to the lobby of the Gershwin Hotel, similar to the Stumptown by the Ace Hotel.

Worth a stop if you're ever needing a quick snack or coffee while wandering around Flatiron.
